Brenda Wagner MD, FRCS(C)

Brenda graduated with a bachelor’s degree and a medical degree from the University of Michigan and did her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of British Columbia.

She was a member of the active medical staff at Richmond Hospital from 1999-2021 and is now a member of the medical staff at Squamish General Hospital and is practicing in the Sea to Sky corridor.  Brenda has held a number of local and provincial administrative positions, including Medical Director of BC Perinatal Health Program; Program Medical Director of Fraser Health Maternal, Infant, Child and Youth Program; Chair of Richmond Medical Advisory Committee as well as Senior Medical Director of Richmond Community of Care.

She is also the current VCH/PHC Program Medical Director, Maternity.

She holds an appointment to UBC Faculty as a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Guest Lecturer for the UBC School of Midwifery.  She is committed to team-based, patient-centred trauma-informed care.
