UBC Midwifery Congratulates Tracey Mason!
Congratulations to Tracey on her recent induction into the UBC 25 Year Club, recognizing an important milestone of service to the Faculty of Medicine and the University. Tracey, Midwifery’s Administrative Coordinator, has worked with Midwifery 10 of those 25 years. She is the longest UBC employee within Midwifery. So many thanks Tracey!
UBC Midwifery Director, Cecilia Jevitt was the invited keynote speaker at a virtual international midwifery conference hosted by the Universitas Sebelas Maret in Surukarta, Indonesia.
Dr. Jevitt presented on providing women’s health, specifically perinatal care, during the COVID pandemic to more than 270 attendees. Indonesia has approximately 250,000 midwives registered with the midwives association and more than 700 schools of midwifery.

We are pleased to announce that Kate Blake, RM, was elected to the post of Clinical Faculty Representative for the Faculty of Medicine’s Clinical Faculty Advisory Council.
Kate replaces Jade Kassam in a term from July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2023. Kate is a UBC Midwifery graduate and respected clinical preceptor.
