Welcome: Aisha Sallad (she/her/hers)

We are very pleased to introduce you to our new Student Services Manager. Aisha will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of student recruitment, advising, educational program planning, and student retention initiatives for two UBC Midwifery programs – the 4-year undergraduate Midwifery program and the Internationally Educated Midwives Bridging Program (IEMBP).

Aisha joined UBC in 2021 as a Student Information & Program Assistant with Go Global. She has provided high-level support for various Go Global programs, including Inbound and Outbound Exchange, Global Seminars, and the Visiting International Research Students (VIRS) program.

Aisha is currently an executive member of the UBC Black Caucus, which promotes community, progress, and support for Black students, staff, and faculty at UBC. In this role, she advocates for the safety, well-being, academic and professional development of Black individuals and supports recruitment, mentorship, retention, and advancement opportunities for Black students at UBC.
