Midwives Association of BC Student Awards 2021

Are you a UBC Midwifery Student in need of financial support?

MABC is offering 6 Awards (valued at $5000), distributed via a lottery system. You may apply for all awards eligible, however, you may only receive one award per calendar year.

The goal of these awards is to support BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Colour) Midwifery students, students pursuing rural and remote clinical placements, and students experiencing financial need, irrespective of any experiences or accomplishments.

Awards

BIPOC Student Awards (2 Awards)- $1125 each

Any student identifying as BIPOC is eligible to apply.

MIDW 350/380 (Interprofessional Placement/Midwifery in Special Context): (2 Awards)- $1125 each

Any student intending as of October 2021 to participate in an interprofessional placement (MIDW 350) in a Northern or rural community, and/or a Midwifery in Special Contexts (MIDW 380) placement during the 2021/22 academic year is eligible to apply.

Midwifery Equipment Subsidy Awards: (2 Awards)- $250 each

Financial support for students to purchase necessary equipment (blood pressure cuff, stethoscope) for Midwifery training.
