Dr. Kathrin Stoll is a social scientist with expertise in psychology, family studies, public health, nursing, and midwifery. She has led the development and testing of various patient-centered instruments, including scales to assess stress in Sudanese refugees, childbirth fear in multiple countries, and autonomy, respect, and mistreatment in perinatal care. Her work has influenced research and quality improvement programs in over 18 countries. Additionally, Dr. Stoll is involved in community participatory action research studies and has served in various leadership roles, such as lead evaluator for maternity care programs and chair of the Sustainable Midwifery Practice Taskforce. She has also contributed to academic journals, lectured at Hannover Medical School, and is a Fellow at the Centre for Rural Health Research.
