Senior Advisor, Global Partnerships and Knowledge Mobilization
Guadalupe Jolicoeur has joined the Birth Place Lab as senior advisor, global partnerships officer and knowledge mobilization.
With more than 30 years of leadership in the nonprofit and private sectors, her work has spanned women’s reproductive health, conservation, artist management and small business enterprise.
As CEO of the Midwives Association of British Columbia for 16 years, Guadalupe led transformative advancements in midwifery care. She successfully negotiated six contracts with the Ministry of Health and helped develop policies and programs to support rural and Indigenous midwives. Her advocacy contributed to expanding the UBC Midwifery Program, securing preceptor funding, and establishing the Rural Locum Program.
Guadalupe recently earned a Master of Public Policy from McGill University and continues research on forced migration, human rights and peacebuilding.
A collaborative leader with a global perspective, she is known for building connections across disciplines and advancing equitable solutions in perinatal health. Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, she has deep ties across Canada’s perinatal health leadership community and beyond.
