The Communications and Marketing Coordinator leads internal and external communications for UBC’s Midwifery Program. The role develops and executes communications and marketing strategies, manages digital platforms and content, and ensures alignment with UBC’s brand and strategic goals. Responsibilities include creating engaging web, social media, and print materials; supporting faculty and researchers in sharing their work; coordinating media and public relations; and fostering awareness of midwifery education, research, and practice across BC and beyond. 

 
Reporting directly to the Senior Administrative Business Manager, with oversight from the Program Director, and Associate Program Director. 

Biography

Alicia Rebman brings a creative eye and technical curiosity to her role as Communications and Marketing Coordinator for UBC’s Midwifery Program. With a foundation in audio engineering and publishing technologies, she began her career as a freelance branding, web design, and communications consultant before moving into marketing communications in 2013. Her previous roles include marketing and communications for an international publishing company and contributing to the successful public launch of a preventive health sciences company. Alicia’s diverse experience across industries, markets, and languages, from brand and product launches to global production, equips her with a versatile skill set to support the Midwifery Program.  

Outside of work, she pursues her interests in communications design and the arts, and enjoys nature, creative pursuits, and cinema.
