UBC Midwifery Director, Cecilia Jevitt was the invited keynote speaker at a virtual international midwifery conference hosted by the Universitas Sebelas Maret in Surukarta, Indonesia.
Dr. Jevitt presented on providing women’s health, specifically perinatal care, during the COVID pandemic to more than 270 attendees. Indonesia has approximately 250,000 midwives registered with the midwives association and more than 700 schools of midwifery.
