The Indonesian midwives asked her to describe midwifery in Canada, continuity of care and family involvement in maternity care. Approximately 1,500 midwives across Indonesia participated in the webinar via Zoom or the YouTube livestream. Indonesia, as a country, has the largest number of midwives in the world – more than 250,000. The presentation was followed by a question and answer period with the midwives eager to hear about British Columbia’s universal maternity coverage.
