Damara Featherstone (she/her) holds a B.Sc in Global Resource Systems with a specialization in Global Health, Nutrition, and Sustainable Food Systems from the University of British Columbia. Damara has experience in community outreach and engagement and research experience in Women’s Health, Food Justice, and Community Food Security. Damara previously worked as the Knowledge Translation and Podcast Coordinator at the Women’s Health Research Cluster, where she developed, hosted, and produced a season of the Women’s Health Interrupted podcast. 
At the Birth Place Lab, Damara is responsible for strategically planning, managing, and facilitating knowledge mobilization events and co-creating knowledge translation products. Damara also manages outreach and engagement related to participatory research projects, with a focus on equity, respect, safety, and access to culturally safe perinatal care for historically marginalized and underserved communities.
